When it comes to hospitality design, first impressions matter, and atmosphere is everything.
For this project, Auto Trim DESIGN partnered in the transformation of Upper Deck St. Catharines, working alongside Interiors by Jennifer Ellah to bring a refreshed vision to life. The goal was to elevate the restaurant into a warm, upscale, and inviting environment that customers would enjoy spending time in.
Through expert production and installation, we delivered a range of custom visual elements, including fully customized artwork, wall mural applications such as 3-dimensional printed wallpaper, printed acrylic panels on the bar face, and door graphics designed to make the front entrance resemble a vault door.
One of the main challenges in this project was translating the original concept into a high-quality finished vinyl wrap. With a wide range of materials and finish options available, finding the right balance between colour, texture, and durability required careful consideration.
Each element needed to support the overall aesthetic while meeting practical requirements. Achieving a cohesive, upscale look required precision and consistency at every stage of the process.
To overcome these challenges, our team followed a tailored, detail-oriented approach.
We developed a fully customized vinyl wrap that accurately reflected the design. Additional elements such as 3-dimensional printed wallpaper, acrylic bar panels, and custom door graphics were carefully produced and installed to complete the space.
Together, these features enhanced the visual appeal and contributed to a seamless transformation of the restaurant environment.
This project highlights key considerations for successful design transformations. Sampling and testing materials proved essential in achieving the desired finish and avoiding costly mistakes.
Thoughtful material selection also played a critical role in elevating the space without the need for major construction. By carefully executing each element—from vinyl wraps to custom wall mural applications—we helped bring the original vision to life, creating an environment that stands out while remaining functional and durable.
